How to make a word search
Enter your own words, choose a grid size and allowed directions, then select Generate puzzle. The result lists exactly the words placed. Use Show answer key to highlight their cells, then print or save the visible version as PNG.
Placement and answer key
Longer words are placed first and matching letters may overlap. If every word cannot fit, generation stops with an explanation instead of silently dropping entries. Backward and diagonal options apply to both the grid and the recorded answer positions.
Printing, privacy, and limits
Print / Save PDF opens the browser print dialog. Choose Save as PDF and keep or change the suggested word-search.pdf name. Download PNG saves word-search.png. Both use the puzzle, answer-key state, and word list shown in the paper preview.
