How to run the test
Select Start device test and respond to the browser permission prompt. When access succeeds, look at the live camera image and speak normally while watching the microphone bar. Device names and selectors are refreshed after permission is granted.
Choose and recheck devices
If more than one camera or microphone is listed, stop the test, choose the device, and start again. A visible picture and moving meter confirm only that this browser session receives media; recheck the same devices in the call app.
Permission, privacy, and limits
Stopping, leaving the tab, or a track ending releases every stream track. This feature does not record or save media. Permission denial, no device, and a busy device are reported separately when the browser provides that reason. It is not a hardware diagnosis.
