Unicode text styler

Create explicit copyable Unicode symbol variants—not a font change—for supported ASCII text.

Text and Unicode style

Processed in your browser.

Up to 5,000 UTF-16 code units. Unsupported characters are preserved unchanged.

Copyable Unicode text

Enter ASCII letters or digits, then select Convert.

How to create copyable styled characters

  1. Enter text containing at least one ASCII letter or digit. Other scripts, spaces, punctuation, and emoji may remain around it.
  2. Choose one of the four explicit Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols mappings.
  3. Select Convert and inspect the result. Copy result places those Unicode characters on the clipboard.
  4. Editing input or style removes the old result. Clear removes input, errors, and output.

Characters, not a font setting

This page replaces supported ASCII characters with separate Unicode code points from the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block. Mathematical bold A is U+1D400, not an ordinary A drawn with CSS font-weight. The output therefore travels as characters when pasted. It is not a font file and it does not change the typeface of arbitrary text.

The mappings are explicit: bold and monospace include Latin letters and digits; italic and bold italic map Latin letters while digits remain ordinary because those selected sets do not define styled decimal digits. The italic small h uses the Unicode letterlike symbol ℎ. Every unsupported character is preserved in its original position.

Checked mapping examples

“Abc 19! 한글” in Mathematical bold becomes “𝐀𝐛𝐜 𝟏𝟗! 한글”. The space, punctuation, and Korean text are unchanged.

“Ahz 19” in Mathematical italic becomes “𝐴ℎ𝑧 19”. In monospace, “Az9” becomes “𝙰𝚣𝟿”.

Accessibility and search limits

  • Unicode’s own chart says these symbols are intended for mathematical variables where style differences carry meaning; normal styled prose should usually use ordinary letters with markup.
  • Search, spell-check, text-to-speech, username validation, moderation, sorting, and screen readers may treat the output as mathematical symbols rather than the intended decorative word. Some fonts or older systems display missing boxes.
  • Only the stated ASCII mappings are offered. This page does not create real bold formatting, upload a font, style every language, generate images, reverse text, or guarantee acceptance on social platforms.

Unicode text style FAQ

Is this the same as choosing a bold font?

No. It substitutes different Unicode characters; CSS or rich-text bold keeps the original letters.

Why do italic digits stay normal?

The chosen Mathematical Italic and Bold Italic Latin sets do not include a corresponding decimal digit alphabet.

Why did my non-Latin text stay unchanged?

The page deliberately maps only supported ASCII letters and digits and preserves everything else.

Is styled Unicode accessible?

Not reliably. Assistive technology may announce mathematical character names, so ordinary text is safer for essential content.
