How to use
Edit directly in the map: click a topic’s text and type its name. Use the topic’s + button for a child. Its toolbar appears on hover, selection or keyboard focus. Changes automatically update the downloadable result.
Examples
For a project plan, name the center “Website launch”, add “Content” and “Testing”, then select “Content” and add “Draft copy”. The second-level item belongs to Content, not the center. For a study map, use “Ecosystems” with “Plants”, “Animals” and “Climate”. Topic positions are laid out radially; this is an idea map rather than an indented text list.
How the output works
Drag the box itself outside its text to move the topic and its descendants. Dropping it on another topic changes its parent; dropping it on the center detaches it from its old branch. The trash icon deletes the topic and descendants, while the color preview changes its fill. Only add, color and delete controls remain.
Limits and troubleshooting
Topic boxes stay the same size whether the map has one or many items. Use +/− to zoom, Fit to show the map, or drag empty space to pan. A lone topic is never enlarged automatically. Downloads update after edits and exclude editing controls. PNG has a maximum long side of 2,400 pixels; SVG preserves lines and labels, with device-dependent sans-serif text.
Saving and compatibility
Use up to 31 topics, three branch levels and 48 characters per label. An empty or overlong edit is not exported; leaving it restores the last valid label. Positions and colors are included in the output. There is no account, cloud storage, collaboration, AI, undo history or editable project import. Save before reloading or changing language.
Frequently asked questions
Are files uploaded?
No. Image decoding, editing and exports run in this browser. Only bundled application assets and fonts are loaded from this site.
Why did the download become unavailable?
Downloads update automatically after a valid edit. They are briefly disabled while the latest image is generated.
Will my work survive a reload?
No. There is no project storage. Save your result before reloading, changing language or leaving this page.
What does Clear do?
It resets the map to one example center and clears its output. Remove deletes the selected branch and all descendants; it cannot delete the center.
