How to use
- Enter the number of people expected to attend.
- Enter the meeting length and choose minutes or hours.
- Enter one hourly time rate per person and, optionally, a short label such as $, €, USD, or KRW.
- Select Calculate. The tool reports elapsed meeting time, total person-hours, and direct time cost.
Formula
Person-hours = attendees × duration in hours. A 30-minute meeting is 0.5 hour for each attendee.
Total cost = person-hours × hourly rate per person. The currency label is displayed only and is never converted.
Examples
Six-person planning meeting
Six people for 45 minutes use 4.5 person-hours. At 40 per person-hour, direct time cost is 180.
Short check-in
Four people for 15 minutes use 1 person-hour. At 55 per person-hour, the total is 55.
Limits
- The same rate is applied to everyone; individual salaries or role-specific rates are intentionally excluded.
- The estimate excludes preparation, follow-up, benefits, taxes, overhead, rooms, travel, software, and opportunity cost.
- It does not judge whether a meeting is worthwhile or recommend compensation.
- There is no account connection, calendar import, or live timer.
