How to make a sheet of labels
Use this label maker for address lists, name tags, storage boxes, seed packets or short product descriptions. You supply the wording and choose the physical dimensions; the preview shows how each label sits on the page. No account is required. This is a general printable label editor, without postage purchases, shipping-provider labels, barcode generation or automatic nutrition calculations.
Click the wording on the enlarged label to edit its text or choose a list or CSV. Click its logo or border to edit that part. Only the selected editing panel is shown; Done or Escape closes it. Text style changes the shared font settings, and Paper & copies controls quantity and sheet measurements. The full sheet updates with the same content.
- Choose Repeat one label for identical copies, Different labels for separate entries, or CSV list for spreadsheet data. In a list, leave one empty line between labels; ordinary line breaks stay inside the current label. Set Copies per entry after checking the imported text.
- Open Paper & copies and select an A4 or Letter starting layout. Match the label width and height, columns, rows, left/top margins and both gaps to your stock. A starting position greater than one leaves the earlier cells on the first sheet blank.
- Choose a font, alignment, border and shape. Add a local PNG, JPEG or WebP logo if needed. Review every sheet with Previous and Next, then use Print / Save PDF. The screen scales the whole sheet to fit your device; it does not change the printed measurements.
Read the layout and check two examples
The page fills left to right, then top to bottom. Right and bottom margins are the unused space after the configured grid. A4 is 210 × 297 mm; Letter is 215.9 × 279.4 mm. The two starting layouts are unbranded examples, not guaranteed matches for a manufacturer’s template number. Measure the actual backing sheet before using adhesive stock.
Example 1: one storage-box label with 21 copies and the default 3 × 7 A4 layout fills exactly one sheet. Set the first position to 5 and the same 21 labels need two sheets: 17 on the first and four on the second. Only the first sheet skips positions.
Example 2: import a CSV headed Name,Address with rows for Alex and Sam. Keep the header option checked and choose two copies per entry. The result contains four labels in order: Alex, Alex, Sam, Sam. Each nonempty cell becomes its own line. Use quoted cells for addresses containing commas, and double a quotation mark inside a quoted cell.
Printing, limits and common fixes
In the browser print dialog, select the same paper size, 100% or Actual size, no margins, and no headers or footers. Save as PDF creates a reusable print file. First print on ordinary paper and compare it against your labels. Printer feeding, nonprintable edges and driver scaling can shift the final result; a correct preview cannot calibrate a physical printer.
Each run supports up to 1,000 labels and 200 sheets, with 2,000 characters per label and 100,000 input characters overall. CSV files must be UTF-8, at most 256 KB, with consistent column counts and no more than 50 columns. Select comma, semicolon or tab to match your file. Logos support PNG, JPEG and WebP up to 2 MB and 16 megapixels; images are resized to a maximum 1,024-pixel edge.
Frequently asked questions
Why is printing unavailable?
Fix the highlighted input or overflow first. A grid cannot extend outside the paper. With Fit long text enabled, text may shrink to 6 pt; if it still does not fit, shorten it or increase the usable area. Oval labels reserve a smaller safe rectangle to keep text away from curved edges. Always inspect small text for readability.
Can I use accented or Japanese text?
Unicode text is retained. Fonts come from your device, so available glyphs and wrapping can differ between computers. Check the preview and saved PDF for missing symbols. No font file is uploaded or bundled with your draft.
Where are my addresses and logo stored?
Editing and file reading happen in your browser. A local draft helps restore your work after reload; it is not a cloud backup and may be lost when browser data is cleared. Clear removes the current content and resets the editor. Remove beside the logo keeps your text and sheet settings.
Does the chosen shape cut the paper?
No. Shape and border only control the printed design. Use matching precut stock or cut the printed sheet yourself. A rounded or oval border does not change the rectangular grid measurements or create a cutting-machine file.
